A Day In The Life

A Day In The Life of a
Student at National Ballet Academy
Leah McCall lives in Parker, Colorado and is 13 years old. She currently
attends Cimarron Middle School and is on the Honor Roll. She has
attended National Ballet Academy of Denver for 2 years now.
Leah attends ballet class four days a week and takes private lessons 1-2
days a week as well. “I enjoy attending class at National because the
studio environment is fun but challenging as well, ultimately this
combination has made me strong technically and allowed me to still love
dance.”
Leah has enjoyed participating in several activities with National
Ballet. She was able to be part of the corps for National Ballet’s
production of “An Evening of Stars”. “It was a wonderful chance to dance
alongside amazing professionals and really see how everything works from
rehearsals to the final show. Dancing in Outreach Programs at different
schools has also been a great way to improve my performance skills and
show other kids the beauty of dance.”
Leah works hard both in school and in dance. She hopes to attend college
and pursue a professional dance career. She dances five days week after
school and on Saturdays, so staying organized and on top of her school
work is important. “I have learned to always take advantage of study
time at school”.
“National Ballet Academy has become an important part of my life, and
with lots of hard work I know my teachers will help me to reach my goal
of becoming a professional dancer.”
