Stage Experience

While the primary focus of Academy’s training remains the classroom, The National Ballet Academy of Denver is involved in several activities that provide students with the opportunity to learn and perform. 

Students enrolled in the Academy receive opportunities to perform with The National Ballet of Denver, students also gain additional performing experience through The National Ballet Academy of Denver’s Touring Ensemble. 

The National Ballet Academy of Denver's Touring Ensemble teaches skills which assists the students to become professional dancers. In this pre-professional program, the students rehearse and perform classical and neo- classical dance pieces that are chosen from the National Ballet of Denver's repertoire.

The purpose of the Touring Ensemble is to provide the students with experiences which will help ease their transition from student to professional dancers, build confidence, and increase stage experience.

The experience of rehearsing and performing for audiences at any age enables students to develop confidence and stage manners, which will be essential to their future professional careers.
